¡Joder Miguel Ángel!, ¡joder!. Acabo de enterarme de tu muerte y no puedo dormir. Pero te quedas con nosotros. Fueron muchas horas escuchando tus explicaciones, más allá de lo esencial nos introducías poco a poco en la filosofía del arte; «mucho líquido, poco pigmento», día tras día, tras día… nos hacías observar y pensar más allá de las pinceladas: debajo de las vestimentas había curvas, anatomía adivinada; detrás de cada rostro se escondía una emoción, un sentimiento, y todo cobraba significado en el lienzo.

Ana y yo quedamos contigo a tomar un vermucito en algunas ocasiones, no recuerdo cuantas. Te encantaba, eras un maestro alternando con sus discípulos y disfrutabas contándonos tantas historias inventadas en tus cuadros, nos llevaste a tu taller y los colores y las figuras de tus obras cobraban vida en tus labios, allí te hice la foto que acompaña este escrito. ¡Que grande Miguel Ángel!. Una pena que muchas de esos lienzos, algunos de ellos enormes, queden en los pasillos de aquel taller, historias acabadas pero que nunca cerrabas del todo, dejando siempre una escapatoria, un pequeño túnel, una escalera, una salida a alguna parte, porque los historias, decías, siempre estaban vivas.

Me da rabia que los titulares te mencionan primero como político y luego como artista, pero quienes tuvimos la suerte de conocerte un poco, sabemos que eras primero artista y todo lo demás eran aditivos para ganarte la vida. Te quedas en nosotros, maestro. ¡Joder Miguel ángel!

    Ahora me entero de la muerte de Miguel Ángel. Y estoy absolutamente de acuerdo con lo expresado por Eduardo. Yo le debo mucho de lo aprendido en pintura a pesar de su empeño en que copiáramos a los impresionistas. Y agradeceré siempre su trato exquisito, educado y respetuoso conmigo y con todos. A veces, le temíamos cuando pasaba por tu cuadro y retocaba, con su criterio, lo que estabas haciendo… que no siempre coincidía con lo que tu querías, pero siempre había una enseñanza tras su intervención. Siempre le recordaré con cariño. ¡Gracias, Miguel Ángel, por lo que de ti aprendí! Eras un gran hombre y un gran artista.
